Is Ed's American Diner in Lisburn any good?

Hi, been reading reviews of Ed's and some are fantastic and some are really dire, so wondering what the truth is? I'm looking to take my mum out for a nice meal and it's along our route but I'd hate for her to have a lousy experience. I know that AJ's diner in Crossgar is solid gold, so would be reluctant to take a chance on a place if I didn't know it could match AJ's! Has anyone been to Ed's and what did you think? If anyone's had the scampi, please tell me if it was nice, too. Many thanks!

Hi Lara,

Ed's is first class. If you don't trust the reviews, trust the fact that it's always extremely busy on weekend nights. In fact, I drove past recently on a Monday and there seemed to be a good crowd in!

It's definitely worth a try. You are treated very well and the portions/quality of the food is great.

It may be a pound or two more expensive than other restaurants, but that extra money seems to go straight into your meal!

Let us know how you get on!
